What was thought would be a memorable celebrated day in the life of the students of the SIBM Bangalore turned out to be most ill-fated and ill-starred day ever since the inception of college in Bangalore. Date was 11 july and the occasion was the freshers party hosted by the senior batch for the ones all set to the enter the new domain of their life. Being a member of ECC, have to mention that the party was nicely organized ( not being biased- it really was!!!) but the seeds of hostility that were sown between the batches by the bossy leadership finally got matured enough to fracture the bacchanalia which brought smile on everyone face though for a small time. The festive mood had made everyone gleeful and everyone was dancing on air. It could not have been better for the couples as they got to spend some quality time with each other. Pool side arrangements were creating the desired buzz required for such a bash. Muzic and food were the delights of the evening at Radha Regent and it was the place to be for all fun frenzy people. Every thing was in place except the tempers which flared out becoz of negligible sort of interactions that had taken place so far between the batches. Frankly speaking it was like two assemblage of people sharing the same space and same college name but different emotions. It could be right said as the day of aggressive and offensive behaviour.
Closely watching the brawl right throughout another thing that striked me along with many people was the display of unity that was shown by the seniors which was never expected. I am not trying to justify violence but there are days when tempers get flared and entire gamut of emotions get aroused and it gave us a bleak of hope that such could also be the bonding between the entire group of students in the college which is quite required between the first two batches of the college.
Bygones are Bygones, its my wish that no one keeps any hard feeling for anyone. There should be more interaction that should be allowed between the batches and let the college atmosphere be more friendlier that before so that these two years of unforgettable events could never be erased from the memories. Blame game should not be played. Since it was the party for all, let every one take the responsibility for what happened. Administration needs to understand that nice friendly milieu is required to convert this place into the birthplace of consummate corporate czars.
